Double Gold for Saanich Tigers at Captain Cook Tournament!
This past weekend Juan De Fuca hosted the annual Captain Cook PeeWee
tournament and Saanich Lacrosse had teams participating in the A1 and B
tiers. In a weekend of great lacrosse, both Tiger teams came away with Gold
Medals in their respective divisions!
The Saanich PeeWee B1 team went undefeated in round robin play with wins
over JDF, Vic-Esq, and Alberni Valley. They then defeated Cowichan in the
semi-finals and finally topped Campbell River in the gold medal with a 9-3
win!
The Saanich A1 team went 2-1 in round robin play with wins over Burnaby and
North Shore followed by a loss to New Westminster. They got their revenge
Sunday morning though by beating New West in a rematch in the semi-finals
then won gold with a 6-4 victory over JDF.
Congrats to all the players and coaches of both teams!
